Radiology

Radiology uses medical imaging to diagnose and treat diseases. The radiology department provides a range of services including: breast ultrasound, cath lab, CT scans, endoscopy, fluoroscopy, hybrid theatre vascular imaging, interventional radiology therapy, mammogram, MRI scans, nuclear medicine, obstetric ultrasound, ultrasound and x-ray.

Mammogram

A mammogram is an x-ray of the breast and is often used to look for early signs of breast cancer. Your breasts will be x-rayed one at a time. The breast is placed on the x-ray machine and gently but firmly compressed with a clear plate. Two x-rays are taken of each breast from different angles. The mammogram itself takes only a few moments to complete.
