Radiology
Radiology is a branch of medicine that uses medical imaging to diagnosis diseases and injuries. The radiology department provides services including x-rays, ultrasound and computed tomography. Radiologist interpret these images to help diagnose conditions, guide treatment decisions and monitor progress of diseases.
Breast ultrasound
Breast ultrasound uses sound waves to produce internal images of the breast. It is used to help diagnose breast lumps your doctor may have found during a physical exam, mammogram or MRI. A radiologist (x-ray doctor) will perform the breast ultrasound.
