You should automatically be on our register if you:
- are aged 25 to 65
- have a Personal Public Service (PPS) number
You should also be on our register if you have previously had a cervical screening test through CervicalCheck.
Check here to see if you are on our register
If you are 25 to 65 years of age and due to have your test you do not need to wait for a letter to book your test.
If you are on our register
If you're on our register and we have the correct postal address for you, we will write to you to:
- remind you when your next cervical screening test (formerly smear test) is due
- tell you when your results are ready
We will only be able to write to you if you are on our register.
Opt off the register
If you don't want to be part of our screening programme, you can opt-out. You need to complete and sign a form called 'Opt-off by Woman'.
Send your completed form to us by Freepost (no stamp required).
CervicalCheck - The National Cervical Screening Programme,
We won't send letters to you if you choose to opt-out of our service. If you change your mind, you can have a free smear test in the future by contacting us or a registered GP or clinic.
