Parking
The hospital car park is situated to the front of the hospital and you will be guided to the car park entrance from the traffic lights on the main road. The ticket machine is located in the main reception.
A clamping system is in place so only park in designated areas or you run the risk of being clamped. Car passes can be purchased from the security office just inside the main entrance. The car parking pay machines do not accept debit cards so please bring change or register using you phone at parkingtag.ie

Emergency department
The emergency department is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Acute medical assessment unit
The unit is open Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 7pm.
You will need a GP referral and must be over 16.
The unit is in Wexford General Hospital’s Emergency Department building.
Scheduled and elective surgeries
All scheduled and elective surgeries have been cancelled or moved to Ely Hospital. You will be contacted directly if you are impacted.
Minor operations and endoscopy services have been moved to Ely Hospital.
Time-critical surgeries and emergency surgeries are being done in private hospitals.
Maternity care services
Up to 20 weeks pregnant
Advice is available from the Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit.

More than 20 weeks pregnant
If you are over 20 weeks pregnant, you can access the maternity services in Wexford General Hospital.

You can access the maternity delivery suite through the Herbert Amon Unit.
After the birth
You can attend the Herbert Amon Unit up to 42 days after giving birth.

Smoke-free campus
All our hospitals are smoke-free campuses. Smoking is not allowed throughout the hospital and the hospital grounds. Supports available to give up smoking
