Breast service

The breast service provides comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for patients with symptomatic breast conditions, with a special focus on women diagnosed with breast cancer. Our triple assessment clinics offer a streamlined experience where patients can see a surgeon, undergo imaging (such as mammograms or ultrasounds), and receive a biopsy (fine needle aspiration for cytology) all in one visit.

Family history clinic

Our family history clinic is run by consultant and breast care nurses. The service provides care to asymptomatic individuals and families at higher risk of developing breast cancer including those known to carry one of the breast cancer genes (BRCA1, BRCA2). Patients are given the opportunity to discuss their family history of breast cancer which forms the basis of a risk assessment.
