Parking

There is no patient or visitor parking inside the hospital grounds. There are designated patient set down areas at the front door. A limited number of disabled parking spaces are available. Please consult our porters at the main entrance.

There is metered street parking outside the hospital on Adelaide Road and Harcourt Terrace. A little further away there is metered parking on Fitzwiliam Place and Fitzwilliam Square.

Outpatient appointments

Outpatient clinics are resuming at a reduced schedule. We will contact patients about their appointments.

Visiting arrangements

Visitors are not allowed except for:

  • parents visiting children
  • people assisting confused patients - for example, patients with dementia

Children should not visit the hospital, even in these cases.

Only 1 visitor is allowed per patient.

Dublin Bus numbers that stop close to the hospital are:

Luas

Charlemont or Harcourt stops on the Green Line are closest to the station.

Chapel

There is an Oratory situated on the ground floor. Roman Catholic Mass is celebrated in the Oratory on Sunday at 10.30am.

The hospital is regularly visited by Clergy of different denominations. If you wish to see any of them at any time please ask the Clinical Nurse Manager or nurse in charge and they will arrange this for you.

Payment information

All hospital accounts must be paid on the day of discharge. There is a government health levy payable on discharge. Self-paying patients booked to semi-private accommodation must pay prior to admission.

Smoke-free campus

All our hospitals are smoke-free campuses. Smoking is not allowed throughout the hospital and the hospital grounds. Supports available to give up smoking
