Parking

There is no parking available within the Hospital grounds. Paid street parking spaces provided by Dublin Corporation are available close to the Hospital. Please be aware that clamping is in operation on Holles Street and streets surrounding the hospital.

Nominated support partners are welcome to visit 8am to 9pm daily. Children and grandparents are welcome to visit 6pm to 8pm daily. Please note, maximum of two visitors are allowed per patient at any one time.

By Dublin Bus

The Hospital is serviced by the following routes:4, 7, 7A, 7D, 15A, 15B, 15D, 26, 27X, 100X, 101X, 111X, 120, 845, NX, Dublin Express 784 amongst others. Please plan your journey ahead.

By Train/Dart

The hospital is a short walk from Pearse Street Station.

By Luas

A 10 minute walk from St. Stephen's Green.

Restaurants

There is a Coffee Shop located on the ground floor of the hospital. You can get hot and cold drinks as well as sandwiches and wraps, etc.

Vending Machines

There are 2 vending machines in the hospital. They are available 24/7. One on the fourth floor and one on the ground floor. Vending machines have cold drinks and snacks. Both machines accept card.

There are two shops where you can buy food and drinks in the hospital.

Coffee Shop:

Located on the Ground Floor. You can get hot and cold drinks as well as food.

Saturday 10am to 4pm

Sunday closed

Baby Shop:

Located on the Ground Floor. Dry snacks only and some baby items are available.

Monday to Friday 10am to 3pm

Pharmacy

The NMH Pharmacy offers a prescription and over-the-counter medicine dispensing service to obstetric/gynaecology and neonatal patients. As a hospital pharmacy, it does not operate the community drugs schemes (Medical Card/GMS, Drug Payment Scheme, Long Term Illness Scheme, Hi-Tech).
For patients who have a medical card or for prescriptions costing greater than the €80 monthly threshold for the Drug Payment Scheme, patients are advised to attend a community pharmacy that operates these schemes. We also provide medicines in pregnancy / lactation information service for patients, GPs, community pharmacies and other healthcare professionals.

The pharmacy is located on the 4th floor of The NMH and the opening hours for patient dispensing are:

Monday to Friday 8.30am to 1pm and 1.35pm to 4.30pm.
