Drugs Payment Scheme refunds

You need to register with the Drugs Payment Scheme to claim a refund.

Refunds if you paid more than €124 in more than one pharmacy

You or your family may have paid more than €124 for prescribed drugs or appliances in more than one pharmacy.

If so, complete the refund form and post it with your prescription claims forms to:

We can only make a refund for items bought in a pharmacy that has a GMS contract with the HSE. Most pharmacies have a GMS contract.

Refunds for CPAP or oxygen

You or your family may have paid for a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machine or oxygen.

If so, complete the refund form and post it to:

Include any prescription claim forms and a paid copy of the supplier’s invoice.

Claims process

We will process your claim based on the information you provide from your pharmacy.

We pay refunds at the approved HSE Drugs Payment Schemes prices paid to pharmacies by the HSE.

Attach prescription claim forms and forms for other items to your claim.
