Find ways to manage stress in relationships

There are ways to strengthen relationships and reduce the negative impact of stress.

You can:

  • think about how you communicate - be clear about your needs and listen without judgement
  • try to see things from the other person's perspective and respect how they feel
  • make time for each other - do something together that you both enjoy
  • think about small things you can do to show you care about each other
  • look after yourself - set aside time to do something that makes you feel good

Learn about social prescribing services

Social prescribing is a free service across Ireland. A link worker can connect you with activities and supports in your area.

You can refer yourself or someone else. You must ask the person for their consent before you make a referral. To make a referral, contact a service in your area.
