Primary School Screening Programme
Vision and Hearing school screening is a free service. Hearing cohort includes junior infants , home schooled children and new primary school entrants. Vision cohort include junior infants, home schooled children, late entrants are not routinely screened. This service is delivered in primary schools. The school PHN performs the screening. If a deviation from normal is identified, referral to the appropriate service is done and parents are informed.
