Disabilities Respite Services
United Nations Convention for the Rights of Person with Disabilities (UNCRPD) underpins how Disability Services are delivered and prioritised within the Wicklow area within the available Disability Resources annually. Respite care involves providing alternative care for a person with a disability in order to enable the client/carer to take a short break. Respite provided is dependent on client needs, usually including overnight accommodation.

Referral information
HSE service or Section 38/39 agency completes and emails a Respite Referral Form and DSAMT. Referral will be considered at the monthly Central Respite Referrals Committee meeting. Complete an application form. Supporting documents or reports, if available, can be submitted with the application.
