The health and wellbeing department supports staff and patients in enhancing their health and wellbeing. We promote and implement the National Healthy Ireland Programme, with key initiatives including staff health and wellbeing and the stop smoking services for both staff and patients.
Stop smoking service
The in-patient stop smoking service is available to all admitted patients who want help to stay smoke-free during their hospital stay or quit smoking permanently. Our specialist can visit patients on the ward to provide medication and support while they are in the hospital. We can also arrange ongoing support after discharge if needed.
