Midwifery
Midwifery encompasses care of women during pregnancy, labour, and the postpartum period, as well as care of the newborn.
Infant Feeding
A team of midwives/lactation consultants (IBCLC) provide antenatal and postnatal breastfeeding support and education. Breastfeeding classes are currently online twice a month. One to one and small group sessions are facilitated on the antenatal ward. Intensive lactation support is provided on the postanatal ward and NNU when needed. Follow up telephone and video consults are available on discharge and referral to community lactation when necessary.
