Opening hours

Monday to Friday, 9am to 8pm. Saturday, 10am to 1pm, with an emergency on call service provided from 1pm. Sunday and Public Holidays, emergency on call service.

Laboratory

The department provides a comprehensive range of analytical results, observations and interpretation for the requesting doctor as well as clinical liaison and advice. The analytical service encompasses indices of fluid balance, liver function, renal function, carbohydrate and lipid metabolism, and various hormones, proteins, enzymes, therapeutic drugs, tumour-associated substances and many other chemical and biochemical compounds.

Serology

The serology/immunology laboratory provides an extensive range of laboratory investigations and clinical support to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of viral and microbial infection. The department performs a comprehensive range of serological assays for the diagnosis and monitoring of autoimmune and connective tissue disorders.
