Visiting hours

General visiting

Visiting times are:

  • 2pm to 4pm
  • 6.30pm to 8.30pm

Patients can have 1 visitor at this time.

Visiting restrictions

Visiting restrictions may occur during an infection outbreak. Visiting is suspended on all wards where an outbreak happens, except for:

  • Maternity unit - support partner only
  • Paediatric (children’s) unit

Please contact the hospital before attending to check current visiting restrictions.

Exceptional circumstances

Visits are allowed to patients who are critically ill or near the end of their life. Contact the hospital to arrange a visit.

Children (as visitors)

Do not bring children under age 12, unless patients are critically ill or near the end of their life. Contact the hospital to arrange a visit.

Before you visit

Please contact the hospital before attending to check current visiting restrictions.

Do not visit the hospital if you are feeling unwell or experiencing any of the following symptoms:

  • Cough
  • Sore throat
  • Runny or blocked nose
  • Shortness of breath
  • Fatigue
  • Aches and pains
  • Gastrointestinal symptoms

Protect yourself and others

Do not visit a hospital if you have any symptoms of cold, flu, COVID-19, or any viral illness.

Clean your hands regularly and use hand sanitiser

You may be asked to wear a face mask and PPE in parts of the hospital.

Parking

Parking is available to the side and behind the main hospital. Parking for outpatients is available at St Luke's entrance.

Age-friendly parking spaces are available in the main car park.

The set-down only area is at the front of the hospital.

Parking charges are:

  • free up to 20 minutes
  • €4 up to 3 hours
  • €6 for 3 to 4 hours
  • €8 for 5 hours to 1 day

Visits from religious advisors from all faiths are welcome. Your family can make contact with your religious advisor.

There is an oratory on the ground floor at the hospital entrance.
