Internal Directions: Medical Social Work services operate from a number of locations including the main antenatal clinic, Maternity Emergency Unit (MEU), antenatal ward, postnatal wards and Neonatal Unit. Please present to the main clinic and ask for the Medical Social Worker to be contacted. Proceed through the front door, take the first right through double doors, proceed past the shop, take the stairs going down and continue straight at the end of the stairs to the clinic.
Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

Medical Social Work
Medical Social Work offer a multidisciplinary support service to patients alongside the medical teams. Patients as well as their families and networks may require support in coping and adjusting to changes in their circumstances because of illness. A Medical Social Worker (MSW) can assist by offering emotional, psychological, social or practical support for patients and their families.
Referrals and Appointments
Available to: Pregnant women. Neonatal babies. Follow-up after delivery
Who needs to refer you: Self-referral, Consultant, GP, Public Health Nurse, Tusla, Midwifery,Obstetrician, Allied Health
Referral Information: Referral (written or Ihub) form to include patient demographics, Estimated Due Date (EDD), issues of concern.
