Midwifery encompasses care of women during pregnancy, labour, and the postpartum period, as well as care of the newborn.

Early Transfer Home Service

Facilitating women's choice to receive expert postnatal care during the early days after birth in the comfort of their own home. This service is for any woman who has had an uncomplicated birth with no extra monitoring for either her or baby, if they live in the catchment area. The woman can go home 12 hours after a normal birth or 48 hours after an uncomplicated caesarean birth if all is well.
