Breast service

Breast services provide multi-disciplinary care to patients with symptomatic breast disease and in particular, to women with breast cancers. Triple Assessment Clinics where patients can be seen by a surgeon, have imaging (mammogram/ultrasound) and biopsy (Fine Needle Aspiration for Cytology) at the same visit.

Family History clinic

Our Family history clinic is run by Consultant and breast care nurses. The service provides care to asymptomatic individuals and families at higher risk of developing breast cancer including those known to carry one of the breast cancer genes (BRCA1, BRCA2). Patients are given the opportunity to discuss their family history of breast cancer which forms the basis of a risk assessment
