St. Loman's Cemetery, Mullingar

St. Loman’s Graveyard was in use between 1907 and 1971. Around 1300 patients were buried there during that period. Many other patients who passed away in St. Loman’s, were returned to families for burial elsewhere.

If you think that a relative of yours is buried in St Loman’s, you can contact Midlands Mental Health Services to find more information.

Who can look for this information

We can only confirm if someone is buried in the Graveyard to the next of kin. Next of kin refers to the closest living blood relative.

You will need to provide evidence that you are a next of kin of the deceased.

You need to provide a copy of a valid state identification. This may include your passport, driver’s licence, or any other official form of ID.

Depending on the circumstances, this may include some or all of the following:

  • birth certs
  • marriage certs
  • death certificates
  • or you can provide an affidavit (a written statement made under oath)

There might be other documentation that can prove you are the next of kin. If you are unsure, you can contact the general manager for mental health services.
