Dental services for children

Emergency treatment is available: To all children up the the eve of their 16th birthday. At any HSE dental clinic open on the day. Parents / guardians must telephone their local clinic 01-7786020 by 9.15 am to register the patient. They will then be advised which clinic to attend. Please telephone first, but be available to attend straight away.Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the dental service for all patients is significantly disrupted. This means that there will be delays in getting routine appointments. We do not know how long this delay will be. The dental service is working continually to deal with this situation as best we can. All special schools for children are screened annually and children are then referred to their local clinic for any necessary treatment. It may not be possible to respond on the same day to calls received later than 9.15 am. The definition of urgent dental care includes uncontrolled bleeding, severe pain, trauma, abnormal tissue, abscess and swelling. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the dental service for all patients is significantly disrupted. This means that there will be delays in getting routine appointments. We do not know how long this delay will be. The dental service is working continually to deal with this situation as best we can. Internal directions

Check in at the primary care reception on the first floor (lifts available). Take a seat in the waiting area. The receptionist will notify the relevant therapy of your arrival and a member of staff will meet you and direct you to the appropriate room for your appointment.
