Psychology Child Services

A clinical psychologist is someone who is trained to help people with a range of emotional, behavioural and developmental concerns. These difficulties may be affecting how someone is feeling, thinking, or behaving. Psychologists use their knowledge to help people understand their difficulties and explore ways to make positive changes. Psychologists within the Wicklow Primary Care Child & Adolescent Service are professionally qualified Clinical Psychologists with accredited undergraduate and post-graduate qualifications. The service is based in various locations covering 4 different catchment areas. The areas covered by each catchment area are: The Bray Primary Care Network, covering the four Bray Primary Care Teams. This service is based out of Bray Primary Care Centre. Common concerns include: Anxiety, Behaviourial difficulties, Adjustment difficulties, Developmental Concerns, Low Mood and Emotional Regulation.

Check in at the primary care reception on the first floor (lifts available). Take a seat in the waiting area. The receptionist will notify the relevant therapy of your arrival and a member of staff will meet you and direct you to the appropriate room for your appointment.
