HSE Stop Smoking Service

The Tobacco Cessation Support Programme is an evidence-based programme to support tobacco users to quit. The programme sets out in a stage-by-stage process the preparation, planning and coping strategies essential to support tobacco users in their decision to stop smoking and to sustain this attempt over time. The programme is free of charge to all smokers. • Acknowledge the persons needs and provide a friendly, supportive and non-judgemental service • Appointments usually last between 30 to 60 minutes and can be face to face or via telephone. • Interventions may be one-off or involve a number of structured consultations provided over a period of time to met the clients needs. Free nicotine replacement therapy (e.g nicotine patches) for 12 weeks for non-medical card holders. (Medical cards holders will avail of NRT through their GP).

Check in at the primary care reception on the first floor (lifts available). Take a seat in the waiting area. The receptionist will notify the relevant therapy of your arrival and a member of staff will meet you and direct you to the appropriate room for your appointment.
