Occupational therapy
Occupational therapy aims to improve people's ability to do everyday tasks if they're having difficulties. It can help you with practical tasks if you are recovering from an illness or operation. Occupational therapists can look at all aspects of daily life in your home, school or workplace. They look at activities you find difficult and see if there's another way you can do it.
Occupational therapy paediatric service
This service provides assessment and intervention of children with functional difficulties in the areas of self–care, school, leisure. Intervention can include parent education, groups sessions, 1:1 sessions, school observation sessions, support and advice to schools and parents andcaregivers. The groups offered focus on: fine-motor skills, handwriting, self-regulation, organisational skills and transition to secondary school.

Children with developmental concerns that result in non-complex functional difficulties. Children in care of the state.
