Marcell Szabo

Biography

Dr Marcell Szabó qualified from Semmelweis University, Budapest in 2010. He was trained in anaesthesiology in Semmelweis University and in tertiary referral hospitals in Budapest. He received his specialist degree in 2015.

Dr Szabó worked as a specialist doctor of anaesthesiology and intensive therapy. He was also a lecturer at the Department of Surgery, Transplantation and Gastroenterology of Semmelweis University receiving an award from the Hungarian Medical Journal in 2018.

He published numerous research papers in internationally renowned journals. His scientific interest is focused on point of care ultrasound in anaesthesia. He completed his PhD studies and defended his thesis in 2022.

Dr Szabó is now working as a Consultant Anaesthesiologist at HSE Mid West.
He has an avid interest in nature and history.

Areas of Interest:-
Point of care ultrasound, anaesthesia of high-risk patients for non-cardiac surgeries, haemostasis.
