How to access your breast screening records

You can request your breast screening records at any time.

Your breast screening records can include:

  • your test results
  • breast clinic attendances
  • treatments you've had

You can also access screening records if you are:

  • the next of kin of a deceased client of the screening service
  • a solicitor representing a client of the screening service or their next of kin

Request your records in writing

To get your breast screening records you'll need to send us a request by email or post.

Your request should say which records you want to access. For example, if you want all of your breast screening records as part of BreastCheck, or only specific records.

The request should also include your:

  • name
  • address
  • date of birth
  • phone number
  • ID - a scanned copy or a photocopy of your passport, drivers license or public services card

We'll let you know when we receive your request. We'll contact you directly if we need any more information to process your request.

When we have all the information we need, we'll send your records within 30 days.
