You can request your breast screening records at any time.
Your breast screening records include:
- your test results
- breast clinic attendances
- treatments you've had
You can also access screening records if you are:
- the next of kin of someone who has died
- a solicitor representing someone who has used the screening service, or their next of kin
Request your records
To get your breast screening records you'll need to send us a request by email or post.
Your request should say which records you want.
You can request:
- all of your breast screening records
- only specific records
The request should also include your:
- name
- address
- date of birth
- phone number
- photo ID - a photocopy or a scan of your passport, driver's license or public services card
We'll let you know when we get your request. We'll contact you if we need any more information.
When we have all the information we need, we'll send your records within 30 days.

Request a review of your breast screenings
You can request your previous BreastCheck mammograms for an independent review.
This means that new radiologists will review your mammograms.

We'll process your request in line with the 'Right of Access under General Data Protection Regulations' (GDPR, Article 15, Recitals 63 & 64).
