You need to log in to add and view your personal health information including your:
- hospital appointments, if you are a maternity patient
- health cards
- COVID-19 and flu vaccine details
You can only log in if you have a verified MyGovID.
MyGovID is a secure and single account that you can use to access some government services. This is to make sure that only you see your personal information.

Logging in for the first time
To log in to the HSE Health App use your:
- MyGovID username
- MyGovID password
Enter the security code you get by text message from MyGovID. This is sent to the mobile number you use with your MyGovID account.
Log in with fingerprint or facial recognition
We will ask you if you want to use fingerprint or facial recognition to log in after your first successful log in.
Using fingerprint or facial recognition to log in helps keep your personal health information secure. You can change this option at any time.
If your fingerprint or face is not recognised
If you cannot log in with either your fingerprint or face, log in again.
Use the email and password you use with your MyGovID.
You will get a text message with a new security code.

How to log out
To log out of the HSE Health App:
- Select the account icon - this is the circle on the top right of your screen with your initials.
- Select the logout button at the bottom of the screen.
If you are logged in and do not use the app for 15 minutes, you will be automatically logged out
If you do not log in
If you do not log in, you will not be able to see any of your personal health information.
But you can still use the app to:
- search information on conditions, treatments, medicines and mental health
- find services near you, such as GPs and emergency care
