Visiting is restricted in Regional Hospital Mullingar, this is due to high cases of respiratory infections in the local area.

Patients can have only 1 visitor at a time.

Visiting

Visiting times are:

  • 2.30pm to 3.30pm
  • 6.30pm to 8pm

Children (as visitors)

Do not bring children under age 12, unless patients are critically ill or near the end of their life. Contact the hospital to arrange a visit.

Maternity unit

Visiting times are:

For support partners

  • 10am to 1pm and 5pm to 8pm

Only support partners are allowed to visit the maternity unit.

For grandparents and siblings of the baby

  • 6pm to 8pm

There is strictly no visiting during the 1pm to 5pm rest time.

Support partners may accompany their partner in labour while in the delivery suite.

Protect yourself and others

Do not visit a hospital if you have any symptoms of cold, flu, COVID-19, or any viral illness.

Clean your hands regularly and use hand sanitiser

You may be asked to wear a face mask and PPE in parts of the hospital.
