A test sample for COVID-19 (coronavirus) may not always give a clear result. This is called an indeterminate, invalid or inhibitory result. It means that the test could not detect if you have COVID-19.
If you get this result, a contact tracer will contact you to arrange another test.

If you have symptoms of COVID-19 and you get an indeterminate, invalid or inhibitory result:
The people in your household should restrict their movements (stay at home).
