Parking
Parking spaces are limited within the hospital grounds. There is disc display street parking outside the hospital grounds and in St John’s Square directly across from the Main entrance of the hospital. Details of nearby public car parks and rates can be found on www.parkopedia.ie
Visiting hours
Due to COVID-19, visiting is not permitted at this time. Exceptions to our visiting restrictions are parents visiting children and people visiting patients at end of life. Only one visitor is allowed per patient. Children are not allowed to visit the hospital.

Transport
Limerick Colbert bus and train station is approximately a 10 minute walk from the hospital.
Shop
Pulses store is located at the main entrance to the hospital. The shop has a selection of fresh food, tea, coffee, minerals and confectionary. Opening hours are Monday to Friday from 8am until 7pm and Saturday and Sunday from 1pm until 4pm
Pharmacy
Pharmacy is available for patients only.
ATM machines
No ATMs on site. The closest ATM is located on William Street Limerick
WiFi
There is restricted open Wifi for all patients and visitors. Access available on acceptance of terms and conditions.
Chapel
The Hospital Chaplaincy Service operates on an inter-denominational basis, providing a full pastoral care service. Mass is relayed on Channel 5 of your television.
PALS
The Patient Advocacy Liaison Service (PALS) volunteers help patients and visitors in University Hospital Limerick, Nenagh Hospital and Ennis Hospital. PALS volunteers welcome patients and visitors and help them find their way around our hospitals. They serve in a variety of roles; way-finders, patient companions, information guides. Volunteers also help with any general queries people may have. This could be arranging a taxi or how to give feedback on their hospital experience. They are dressed in red with an embroidered yellow logo. Payment information
You can pay your bill over the phone, by post or in person at the Patient Accounts Office. The office is open Monday to Friday 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 4.30pm. Directions: Patient Accounts Office is on the first floor of the administration building, which is at the back of the main hospital. Visiting Guidelines
- Do not visit a patient if you have been sick recently
- Visiting restrictions may have to be put in place from time to time
- Please use hand hygiene gel when you enter and leave the hospital. Clean hands save lives.
- Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.
- We have a no flowers policy at University of Limerick Hospitals Group. This is for health and safety reasons.
Smoke-free campus
All our hospitals are smoke-free campuses. Smoking is not allowed throughout the hospital and the hospital grounds. Supports available to give up smoking
