Book an MMR vaccine appointment

This service is for people who did not get the MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) vaccine as part of the childhood vaccination schedule in Ireland.

The clinics are offering dose 2 of the MMR vaccine to people who got dose 1 at a clinic. The clinic will tell you when to get dose 2.

You can book an appointment for dose 2 of the vaccine for:

  • children age 5 years and older
  • healthcare workers
  • people born in Ireland on or after 1 January 1978
  • people born outside of Ireland and at risk of measles infection

If you or your child is not in 1 of these groups, do not book an appointment. You will not be vaccinated if your ID does not match the booking details.

If you did not get dose 1, check if your GP is giving catch-up vaccines.

About the MMR vaccine and where to get it

To book an appointment, you need:

  • a mobile phone number
  • the PPS number of the person getting the vaccine
  • your Eircode

Only parents or guardians can book an appointment for children under age 16. A parent or legal guardian must attend their appointment and give consent for their vaccination.

If you do not find an appointment that suits you, check back soon. New clinics are added weekly. If you need help to book an appointment, freephone HSE Live on 1800 700 700.
