Information for visitors
Visiting times are as follows:
- 2pm to 4pm
- 6.30pm to 8.30pm
Please do not visit a patient in the hospital if you are feeling unwell. If you have symptoms like a sore throat, cough, temperature, shortness of breath or please do not visit the hospital to help keep vulnerable patients safe.
Important information- there is limited visits in outbreak wards.
If the hospital is managing an infectious outbreak on a ward then access to visitors will be limited to protect patients and visitors.
Visitors need to follow public health guidance and use hand sanitiser regularly during their visit to the hospital. Face masks are available throughout the hospital.
Maternity department
Nominated support partners can visit between 9am and 8pm.

The coffee shop is located at the main reception of the hospital and is open 7 days per week.

The shop is located at the main reception of the hospital and is open 7 days per week. The shop provides tea, coffee, snacks and sandwiches as well as newspapers, magazines and toiletries.

A Chaplaincy Service is available to all patients.

Patient Advocacy Liaison Services are available at Portiuncula University Hospital. Phone the hospital on 090 964 8200 or ask any member of staff if you wish to speak wth a PALS officer.

All our hospitals are smoke-free campuses. Smoking is not allowed throughout the hospital and the hospital grounds. Supports available to give up smoking
