Dr. Umar Khan is a dedicated and accomplished medical professional with a strong focus on pulmonology. He earned his MBBS degree from Shifa College of Medicine, Islamabad in 2011, and subsequently obtained MRCP in Ireland and MRCPS in Glasgow, UK, further solidifying his medical expertise.

With a career spanning various prestigious institutions, Dr. Khan's work experience reflects his commitment to patient care and medical excellence. From 2020 to 2023, he served as a Consultant Medicine/Respiratory Physician at University Hospital Kerry. Prior to this, he gained valuable experience as a locum visiting consultant at University Hospital Limerick and Mayo University Hospital. Additionally, he held significant roles, including Registrar Respiratory Medicine and Registrar AMAU at UHL, Limerick and Registrar and SHO in Respiratory and Internal Medicines in various Irish hospitals, showcasing his versatility in different medical settings.

Dr. Khan's passion for advancing medical knowledge is evident through his active involvement in research, audits, and quality improvement projects. He has co-authored research papers on topics such as "Is There a Role for Colchicine in Acute Coronary Syndromes?" and "Impact of Primary Percutaneous Coronary Intervention on Complete Atrioventricular Block with Acute Inferior ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction." Moreover, his contributions to various audits and quality improvement projects have been presented at the Irish Thoracic Society Annual Scientific Meetings focusing on interventions safety and diagnostics in pulmonology.

Currently, Dr. Umar Khan holds the esteemed position of Consultant Medicine/Respiratory Physician at University Hospital Limerick.
