Biography

Dr. Sudheer Jose completed his medical education at the prestigious St. John’s National Academy of Medical Education, Bangalore, India, graduating in 2001. He later obtained his Doctorate in General Medicine from the same Institution in 2018 and achieved MRCP(UK) accreditation from the Royal College of Physicians of London in 2019.
Dr. Sudheer Jose has extensive work experience working in various hospitals in India. Commencing at St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore, Dr Jose served as Resident in the Intensive Care Unit, Consultant in Endocrinology and Consultant physician and ICU in-charge at a District General Hospital.

Following this, Dr Jose worked as specialist doctor in the Intensive Care department for six years in the Ministry of Health Hospitals in Kuwait. He worked as Consultant in Acute Medicine and Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) in East Kent University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, Kent, United Kingdom. Dr. Sudheer Jose has worked in various HSE hospitals including Letterkenny University Hospital as the Clinical Lead and Consultant in Acute Medicine and as Consultant in Acute Medicine at Cork University Hospital.
Dr. Sudheer received a certificate of appreciation for exceptional service during the COVID-19 pandemic by East Kent University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. He was also awarded the certificate of appreciation for his outstanding work in ICU by the Chairman of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, Kuwait.

He co-led the Society of Acute Medicine Benchmarking Audit (SAMBA audit) at national level in 2021 for the NHS in the UK. Dr. Jose served on interview boards for Acute Medicine Registrars and SHOs at Cork University Hospitals. He was also a member of the Emergency Department Improvement Group for development and improvement of the ED patient flow and working policies at Letterkenny University Hospital. He developed ambulatory care pathways for low risk chest pain, DVT, headache and low risk upper GI bleed in the Acute Medicine departments at Letterkenny and Cork University Hospitals. He was organiser of various health awareness and medical camps in India and frequent medical lectures in Physician and patient groups.

His teaching included RCP UK accredited Educational and Clinical Supervisor for foundation year and Core Medical trainees in UK. He was Involved in formal and bedside teaching of the NCHDs, medical students, nursing and paramedical students.

Dr. Sudheer Jose currently works as consultant in Medicine at University Hospital Limerick.
His areas of interest include same day emergency care, Point of care ultrasound, medical education, headache management, palliative care, tropical diseases.
Dr. Jose has an avid interest in landscape photography, travelling and music.
