Biography

Mr Peter Dawson is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Spinal Surgeon. He joined the Orthopaedic team in February 2022. A native of County Galway, he studied Undergraduate Medicine at St George’s Hospital Medical School in London.
He has completed his Higher Specialist Training in Orthopaedic Surgery through the RCSI SpR training programme.
Mr Dawson has completed a research masters degree in medical technology innovation from NUIG and postgraduate diploma in patient safety from RCSI.
His subspecialist interest is in Spinal Surgery and he has completed combined orthopaedic and neurosurgical training in this field through the UK National Spine Fellowship Programme.
