Biography
Dr Nemer Osman is a Consultant Medical Oncologist at the Mid-Western Cancer Centre, University Hospital Limerick, Dooradoyle, Limerick.
Dr. Osman has worked in University Hospital Limerick since June 2014. University Hospital Limerick is one of the biggest Tertiary Centres in Ireland as well as one of eight designated cancer centres of excellence. He is one of four Consultant Medical Oncologists. He is responsible for treating Lower GI, Prostate, Neuroendocrine and H.B.P. His internship and residency were carried out in Khartoum Sudan. He finished his training in Medical Oncology in Ireland in 2010. He has previously worked in St. James’s Hospital Dublin and The Adelaide and Meath Hospital.
He qualifications are; fellowship Royal College of Physicians, Ireland 2016, Specialist Register in Medical Oncology Ireland, UK, Certificate of Specialist Register/Medical Oncology January 2011-Ireland, Speciality Certificate Exam of Medical Oncology – Royal College of Physicians of UK 2011, Diploma in Clinical Oncology – Birmingham University UK- December 2010, European Certificate in Medical Oncology, ESMO, Paris, October 2005, Certificate of practice in Palliative Medicine, Dublin ICGP 2006.
He is licensed with the Irish Medical Council and the General Medical Council (GMC) of the United Kingdom.
Dr. Osman has publications in several journals and actively participates in Clinical Trials Ireland as principal investigator.
He is a member of the Cytotoxic Administration Group in University Hospital Limerick, a member of the Clinical Directorate Group in University Hospital Limerick and a member of Clinical Trials Ireland.
