Biography
Dr Mohamed Harb qualified from Faculty of Medicine, Mansoura University, Egypt in 2001 and trained in Emergency Medicine in Emergency Hospital, Mansoura University Hospitals, where he was awarded his MSc degree. Dr Harb worked as an Emergency Medicine specialist in the International Medical Centre, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He moved to Ireland on 2015 as Registrar in Emergency Medicine in University Hospital Limerick. He passed the Exams of the Fellowship of The Royal College of Emergency Medicine (FRCEM) in 2019, before taking up a Consultant post in the UHL in 2022.
DR Harb is a member and Trainer at The Royal college of Emergency Medicine, UK (RCEM), the European Society of Emergency medicine (EuSEM), the Irish Association of Emergency Medicine (IAEM).
He has special interest in Quality Improvement in Emergency Medicine. He has been lead and member of numerous QIP initiatives in UHL Emergency Department especially aiming to improve the throughput process in Emergency department and reducing patient experience time.
Dr Harb is now working as a Consultant in Emergency Medicine at HSE Mid West.
He has an avid interest in Football and Reading.
