Michelle Gaffney

Biography

Dr. Michelle Gaffney graduated with a MB BCH BOA degree from University College Dublin in 1994. She received a Masters of Pharmacology degree from University College, Dublin in 2002. She went on to pursue fellowship training in Nephrology and General Internal Medicine from 1998-2007. She was awarded her CSCSST in Nephrology and General Internal Medicine from The Royal College of Physicians, Dublin.

Dr. Gaffney worked as a locum consultant nephrologist in Galway University Hospital and Merlin Park Hospital, Galway and senior lecturer in NUI, Galway from 2007-2009 when she commenced work as a consultant nephrologist in Northampton General Hospital in England.

Dr. Gaffney returned to Ireland in 2014 and took up her current position as Consultant Nephrologist and General Physician in University Hospital Limerick and St. John’s Hospital.
