Biography
Mr. Nagle graduated from UCD in 2012. After completing his basic surgical training, he was appointed to the Irish Higher Surgical Training Programme in Trauma and Orthopaedics. He was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery in 2019 and completed his specialist training in 2021.
Following his training in Ireland, Mr. Nagle undertook a fellowship in Complex & Revision Hip and Knee Arthroplasty at the QEII Health Sciences Centre in Halifax, Canada. There, he also gained significant exposure to computer-assisted knee replacement and has since incorporated this technology into his clinical practice at UHL and Croom.
From an academic perspective, Mr. Nagle was awarded a Masters in Science (MSc) in Trauma Science in 2015 from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry. He has published extensively in the field of orthopaedics and has presented his work at multiple international meetings, co-authoring several prize-winning papers. In 2021, he was awarded an IITOS Travelling Fellowship grant. Mr. Nagle has an interest in the intersection between technology and clinical practice and is currently completing an MSc in Data Science for Health and Social Care through the University of Edinburgh.
