Biography

Dr Doody graduated from Graduate Entry Medical School (GEMS) at University of Limerick in 2013. He completed his internship at UHL and completed Higher Specialist Training in Anaesthesiology in Ireland becoming a Fellow of the College of Anaesthesiologists in 2018.

Dr Doody has a background in pharmacy, graduating from Trinity College Dublin in 2005 and during his anaesthesiology training obtained a Masters in Healthcare Management.

Dr Doody has a strong interest in quality improvement initiatives and has introduced a number of successful QI projects while completing his training at UHL. One area of particular interest is difficult airway management and he has helped devise and implement airway simulation teaching sessions at UHL. Dr Doody has an active interest in research and has a number of first author publication both in national and international journals.
