Dr. Javier Mohigefer, Histopathologist consultant

Dr. Mohigefer completed his studies at University of Seville, graduating in 2016. He pursued his medical degree and residency training in Pathology at the prestigious Virgen del Rocío Hospital, one of Spain's top-ten hospitals. This comprehensive training provided Dr. Mohigefer with experience in delivering exceptional pathology consultations to healthcare professionals.

Throughout his career, Dr. Mohigefer has worked in various esteemed hospitals, enhacing his skills and acquiring a breadth of expertise in Pathology. His professional experience has shaped him into a highly competent specialist, capable of providing first-class healthcare services.

Dr. Mohigefer is member of the Spanish Society of Pathology and the European Society of Pathology. These professional affiliations reflect his commitment to share and discuss new advancements in the field of Histopathology.

He is deeply involved in cutting-edge research within the field of Pathology. He has published many significant papers in different notable journals. In his final Master’s degree work he studied PD-L1 and endometrium carcinoma, where he found that high-grade tumours and immune response may benefit from anti-PD-L1 treatments. This provides a precise and beneficial therapeutic option for specific subsets of endometrial carcinoma patients.

Dr Mohigefer is now working as a Consultant Histopathologist at HSE Mid West.
His areas of interest include general pathology with remarkable interest in soft tissue pathology.
