Ibrahim Dafalla

Biography

Dr. Ibrahim Dafalla is a Consultant Paediatrician with a special interest in Paediatric Cardiology. He works at University Hospital Limerick and University Maternity Hospital Limerick.
Dr Dafalla is registered on the Specialist Division of the Irish Medical Council (IMC 419137) and has extensive experience in both General Paediatrics and Paediatric Cardiology.
He completed a fellowship in Paediatric Cardiology, gaining expertise in non-invasive cardiac imaging and the management of complex congenital and acquired heart conditions in children.
Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Dafalla holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Education and is actively involved in teaching and training healthcare professionals. He has contributed to quality improvement initiatives, including a successful project on neonatal hypoglycaemia, and is engaged in research, with recent work focusing on myocarditis in children.
He is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and advancing paediatric health services.
