Dr Tom Peirce
Medical Assessment Unit (MAU)
Dr. Pierce qualified from Trinity College Dublin in 1967. He interned in the Adelaide Hospital Dublin. He was a medical registrar at Dr. Steevens’ Hospital and at Sir Patrick Dun’s Hospital. Dr.Pierce was fellow of the Pulmonary Medicine University of California followed by appointment as Assistant Professor from 1973 to 1977. He was appointed as consultant physician at University Hospital Limerick from 1977 until 2008. Dr. Pierce has worked in locum positions in Medical Assessment Units including University Hospital Limerick, Nenagh Hospital and St. John’s Hospital. For the last four year’s he has worked as a locum in Ennis Hospital. Dr. Pierce has been awarded Life-time Achievement Award by the UL Hospitals Group in February 2018.
