Dr Gareth Quin
Dr Gareth Quin graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 1991. He undertook specialist training in Emergency Medicine in Dublin and South Wales. He is Member of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and a Fellow of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine. He holds a Diploma in Evidence-Based Healthcare from Oxford University. Dr Quin was appointed Consultant in Emergency Medicine at the Royal Gwent Hospital, Newport in 2000. He took up his current post in University Hospital Limerick in 2001. He is Dean of Postgraduate Emergency Medicine Education and Training at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and chairs the Irish Committee for Emergency Medicine Training. Dr Quin is a Senior Examiner with the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (RCEM) with responsibility for the Critical Appraisal component of the Final FRCEM examination.
