Dr Cressida Brennan
Dr. Cressida Brennan MB BCh BAO BMedSc MRCPI FFRRCSI graduated with honours from University College Cork Medical School in 2005. After completing internship and postgraduate training in medicine at Cork University Hospital and Mercy University Hospital, Cork was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland (MRCPI). She subsequently underwent higher specialist training in diagnostic radiology at Cork University Hospital/Mercy University Hospital, Cork and in 2010 was awarded the Fellowship of the Faculty of Radiologists, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (FFRRCSI). Dr. Brennan undertook subspecialty fellowship training in breast imaging and abdominal imaging at the Department of Medical Imaging in Toronto and University of Toronto from 2011 - 2013. She was appointed consultant radiologist with The Ottawa Hospital and associate professor at the University of Ottawa in 2013. She was appointed consultant radiologist with specialist interest in breast radiology at University Hospital Limerick in 2014. Since commencing in 2014, Dr. Brennan has been actively involved in the development of the breast radiology service and in the relocation of breast imaging to the new Symptomatic Breast Unit in the Leben Building at UHL. Dr. Brennan’s subspecialty interests include breast imaging (including mammography, Ultrasound, breast intervention and breast MRI), abdomino-pelvic imaging, and oncology imaging.
