Biography
Mr Cian Kennedy is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, who graduated from UCC in 2004, and underwent basic surgical training in Cork, before obtaining membership to RCSI in 2007. He subsequently undertook a full-time research fellowship focusing on stem cell bio-engineering at the Regenerative Medicine Institute, and was awarded a Masters in Surgery (MCh) through NUI, Galway in 2011. Following this Mr Kennedy undertook his higher surgical training in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery in Ireland and was awarded FRCS (Tr & Orth) in 2016. He further developed his subspecialty interest by undergoing two clinical fellowship training programmes in adult reconstructive hip and knee arthroplasty at Wrightington Orthopaedic Hospital, UK; and The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham, UK, and was awarded the RCSI/IITOS Travelling Fellowship in Surgery in 2018.
