Rheumatology deals with disorders of the joints, soft tissues and connective tissues. Rheumatoid conditions include a variety of conditions that can affect your muscles or joints.

Rheumatology Outpatient Service

The Rheumatology Outpatient Service manages complex rheumatological disorders. We can administer drugs by injection and/or infusion. We also provide joint aspiration and injection and soft tissue injections.

We may ask you to: attend a virtual clinic self-isolate in advance of your procedure or appointment consent to a COVID-19 test in advance of a planned admission wear a face mask/other PPE complete a COVID-19 questionnaire by phone before coming to hospital and to repeat same on arrival attend at less social hours to facilitate extended operating hours of services wait in your car until closer to your appointment time
