About Medical Social Work
Medical Social Work offer a multidisciplinary support service to patients alongside the medical teams. Patients as well as their families and networks may require support in coping and adjusting to changes in their circumstances because of illness. A Medical Social Worker (MSW) can assist by offering emotional, psychological, social or practical support for patients and their families.
About Medical Social Work
The Medical Social Work (MSW) team will also respond to any concern or incidents where there are child safeguarding/ protection concerns and domestic violence across the five hospital sites. We can also be contacted regarding individuals experiencing homelessness, mental health where children are part of the home and vulnerable adults at risk of abuse.
