Inpatient services is ward based. Outpatient services are delivered at consultant clinics or in Outpatients 3. To find Outpatients 3: Enter the hospital through the Outpatients Department, turn right and go to the end of the long corridor. At the end of the corridor turn right and go through 2 sets of double doors. The dietitians office is straight ahead. It is to the right of the paediatric clinic and within the same unit as the diabetes department.

About Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics
Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics work with people who are nutritionally at risk because they are unwell and/or undergoing treatment that affects their nutritional status and their ability to eat or they have a medical condition that requires dietary intervention.
About Adult services
Dietitians in University Hospital Limerick provide adult inpatient and outpatient services to consultant referred patients for a wide variety of medical and surgical conditions. All referred inpatients are assessed and a careplan is provided. All referred outpatients are either assessed individually and a care plan is provided or they are invited to attend a group education session delivered by a dietitian.
