Nenagh town is serviced by Bus Eireann from Limerick and Dublin and also by Rapid Express bus service. The train station is situated 5 minutes walk from the hospital. The reception staff can call a taxi for you.


There is no shop on site. There is a newspaper round daily from the local shop.


The hospital pharmacy is located on the ground floor of the hospital. The pharmacy service caters for inpatients only.

ATM machines

There are no ATMs in the hospital. The nearest ATMs are located in the Bank of Ireland in the centre of Nenagh town.


There is no WiFi available at the hospital.


There is a church located to the rear of the main hospital building where weekend masses take place. Mass takes place at 7.30pm on Saturdays and 10.30am on Sundays. There are no weekday masses. Masses are relayed to patients via the TV channel. Multi faith chaplains are available on request.

Patient Advocacy Liaison Service (PALS)

The Patient Advocacy Liaison Service (PALS) volunteers help patients and visitors in University Hospital Limerick, Nenagh Hospital and Ennis Hospital. PALS volunteers welcome patients and visitors and help them find their way around our hospitals. They serve in a variety of roles; way-finders, patient companions, information guides. Volunteers also help with any general queries people may have. This could be arranging a taxi or how to give feedback on their hospital experience. Payment information

You can pay your bill over the phone, by post or in person at the patient accounts office. The office is open Monday to Friday 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 4.30pm. Directions: Enter the main entrance of the hospital. The Patients Accounts Office is in the front main hall of hospital. There is a sign for admissions on the door.
