Vaccines for your child

Vaccinations are quick, safe and effective. They protect your baby from some serious or even fatal diseases. Your child will get vaccines at 2, 4, 6, 12 and 13 months.

Your child's health checks

Every child gets free health and development checks between the ages of 0 to 5. These checks are an opportunity for you to talk about any concerns you may have.

Heel prick screening

All newborn babies are screened for 8 conditions that are rare, but treatable, if detected early in life. This is known as the 'heel prick' because a small blood sample is taken from the baby's heel.
